Privacy Policy

Proofsmith Labs ("we", "us") builds browser extensions. This policy covers our website (proofsmith.tools) and all of our browser extensions, including ReportSnap, PixelProof, LinguProof, TryFast, FrameMark, ClauseGuard, JobPilot, ConsultCuts, SerialBible and SupportMacro.

The short version

• Our extensions do not collect your data. Everything you create with them — snapshots, notes, documents, macros, settings — is stored locally in your own browser and is never uploaded to us or to any server we operate.
• No accounts. Our extensions do not require registration, so we have no user databases to begin with.
• No telemetry, no analytics, no tracking in our extensions or on this website.

What our extensions store, and where

All user content is saved using your browser's local extension storage on your device. Examples: captured screenshots and annotations (ReportSnap), project and issue data (PixelProof), translation glossaries (LinguProof), API request history (TryFast), video notes (FrameMark), job applications (JobPilot), chart snippets (ConsultCuts), story bibles (SerialBible), and reply macros (SupportMacro).

Because this data lives only on your device, uninstalling the extension or clearing your browser data removes it permanently. We cannot recover it for you.

Third-party services inside extensions

Some optional features send data to third parties only at your explicit action and only to endpoints you configure or approve:

• PixelProof calls the official Figma API (api.figma.com) using the access token you provide. The token is stored locally and used only for your requests.
• ClauseGuard and SerialBible offer optional AI-assisted review. When enabled, document or chapter text is sent only to the AI endpoint you configure. We never receive it.
• TryFast sends API requests only to the environments you configure, from your browser.

Purchases and payments

Paid plans are sold through Paddle.com, which acts as Merchant of Record for the transaction. When you purchase a license, Paddle processes your payment and email address under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Your email address is used solely to deliver your license key and, if needed, provide support.

Emails you send us

If you contact us at support@proofsmith.tools, we use your email address and message content only to respond to you. We do not add you to any mailing list.

This website

This website is static: it sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and collects no personal information. Our hosting provider may keep standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP address and requested URL) for security and reliability purposes.

Children's privacy

Our products are intended for professionals and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, so no such data is collected from children either.

Your rights

Since we do not maintain databases of personal data, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete. For anything related to a Paddle purchase (invoices, refunds, billing details), contact Paddle support or email us and we will help route your request.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change (for example, if a future version of an extension adds an optional cloud feature), we will update this page and the extension's store listing before that version ships.
